The Delhi government has planned to provide free testing facilities in private labs for the care of pregnant women and vulnerable newborns. Government hospitals which do not have testing facilities, can enter into agreements with private labs nearest to them. However, some conditions have also been kept for this. After this agreement, pregnant women and newborns up to one year can get medical examination facility free of cost. Under this scheme of the government, Acharya Shreebhishu Hospital in Moti Nagar is also going to tie up with a lab soon. Treatment under this scheme is completely free. However, there are still many government hospitals where patients often face challenges due to lack of adequate facilities.
