In the wake of the Supreme Court’s decision on Ayodhya, the Modi government has held meetings with religious leaders of various religions to maintain peace and order throughout the country. On behalf of the Modi government, National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval met Baba Ramdev, Swami Parmatmanand, Awadheshanand Giri, Shia Muslim religion guru Maulana Kalbe Jawad, Maulana Arshad Madani. The meeting was called at Doval’s house on Sunday. According to sources, during this time there was a discussion between the religious leaders and Doval about the current situation in the country. Apart from this, it was decided that the leaders of different communities can give a message of goodwill in the society keeping in mind the decision.

Following the meeting with NSA Doval, religious leaders issued a joint statement, saying the conversation has helped strengthen communication among top religious leaders towards maintaining a sense of brotherhood and communion among all communities.
