On the 550th Prakash Utsav festival of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, lamps were lit from Gurugovind Singh Chowk to Gandhinagar Gurdwara on behalf of many social organizations of the district. DIG Ashutosh Kumar inaugurated the Deepotsav by lighting the first lamp along with Rotary Club President Ashish Kumar. On Tuesday, on the day of Kartik Purnima Dev Deepavali, when thousands of lamps lit together, the view was worth seeing.
Welcoming this initiative, DIG Ashutosh Kumar said that the message of Guru Nanak Dev Ji was lit in the true sense by people of all religions who lit the lamps of faith together. He felt God in every living being. He garlanded the picture of Guru Nanak Dev Ji near the Company Bagh Gurdwara. Many langars were organized on the light festival of Guru Nanak.

Those who lit Prakash Parv by lighting the lamp are mainly Giani Gagandeep Singh, Kuldeep Singh Sachdeva, Kamalsen, Jagbir Singh, Hari Singh, Pritam Singh, Vinod Kumar, Gurmukh Singh, James, Prabhupreet Singh Sachdeva, Dr. Ashwini Singh, Anirudh Tripathi , Ankur Verma, Mo. Akram Khan, Ayaz Ahmed, Mohammad Wahid Siddiqui, Nand Kishore Sahu, Sanjay Dwivedi, Jishan Hyder Rizvi, Anand Rajpal, Nagendra Singh, Anil Sin , Rama Sharma, Anand Goyal, Ashish Srivastava, Sarvesh Srivastava, Manmohan Srivastava ‘Cashew’ Ranjit Mathur, Rajesh Chitragupta, Sandhya Dixit, Kala Aggarwal, Neelam Singh, Satyendranath Matwala, Pramod Gadia, Satish Singhal, Dr. Ajit Pratap Singh, Nagendra Singh , Ram Vinay Pandey, E.
