Four people, including MLA Bhanu Pratap Shahi’s nephew Prashant Singh, were killed in a horrific road accident on NH-75 in Jharkhand’s Garhwa district on Sunday morning. According to the information received, four of the five people aboard the Scorpio were killed in a fierce accident between Scorpio and the truck near the power station in Paraswan village of Ramana police station area. The deceased have been identified as Prashant Kumar Singh, a relative of Bhawanathpur MLA Bhanu Pratap Shahi, Uma Singh, a resident of Tilothu, Rohtas, Chetan Giri from Robertsganj and Abhishek Singh from Aurangabad in Bihar. Prashant Kumar Singh heads Nagwan in Uttar Pradesh. The police reached the spot as soon as the incident was reported and took the body in possession and sent it for postmortem.

All the people had come to campaign in favor of Bhanu Pratap Shahi regarding the assembly elections held in Bhavnathpur. After which all the EVMs were sealed and were returning from Garhwa to the city Untari, this incident happened in the same sequence. According to eyewitnesses, the bodies of three people were cut out from the gas cutter. The speed of Scorpio is said to be behind the accident. A crowd of people gathered on the spot after the incident. Local people informed the police about the accident. According to the information, the speeding vehicle near Paraswan village hit the truck parked on the roadside. The driver of the Scorpio is reported to have lost his control due to the high speed and hit the truck directly. The speed of the Scorpio can be gauged from the fact that after the collision, the car’s children flew away.
