Adnan Sami said, no persecution of Muslims in Pakistan

Bollywood singer Adnam Sami, who has acquired Indian citizenship, has supported the Citizenship Amendment Bill. This bill, passed in the Lok Sabha on Monday night, has been opposed by many opposition parties, including the Congress. Opposition parties argue that this bill is against the right to equality and it is not right to exclude Muslims.

Adnan Sami said, no persecution of Muslims in Pakistan

Adnam Sami tweeted and supported the bill, saying the Citizenship Bill is for people of religions who have been harassed in religion-based countries. There has been no persecution of Muslims in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh due to their religion. Because they are the majority there. Muslims can apply for Indian citizenship as before. They are welcomed by legal and main avenues.
