Boat Club Bhopal will be made plastic free. Bag of clothes will be given for use here. Public Relations Minister P.C. Sharma, Urban Development and Housing Minister Jayawardhan Singh and Mayor Alok Sharma inaugurated the Bag Sewing Kiosk at the Boat Club today. He flagged off the Alto car to be given to the zonal officers. Minister Mr. Singh himself drove the car. Pledge of cleanliness was administered to the people present in the program.
Public Relations Minister Shri Sharma said that now there will be cleanliness, not just throwing. Zonal officials see that not a single polythene is seen on this road. He said that officers of all departments should be linked with the ongoing cleanliness drive in Bhopal. Shri Sharma said that Shahjahani Park should be made according to its name. He told that there is a proposal to run the metro train to Mandideep and Sehore.
-Make project of development of boat club
Urban Development and Housing Minister Shri Singh said that apart from making the boat club plastic free, its development project should also be made. Tourists should get better facilities here. He said that this step will prove to be important in making Bhopal completely plastic free. Other products including packing of ice cream will have to be considered for the use of single use plastic.
Shri Sharma said that the plastic-free big lake of Bhopal will be made plastic free.
Shri Singh said that rankings will be given on removal of stray cattle, neglected cows, street dogs, stray pigs from cities, just like the cleanliness survey. In big cities, 40 marks will be given for removing stray animals, 40 on street dogs and 20 for removing pigs. Ranking will be fixed by fixing similar marks for small cities. He said that zonal officers should listen seriously to public representatives and take appropriate action on them. Add self-help groups in each ward to make cloth bags.
Mayor Alok Sharma said that a planned action plan will be chalked out to make the city clean. He told the officials that there should be no difference between words and actions. Clean shahras will be handed over to the new generation. Shri Sharma said that the plastic-free big lake of Bhopal will be made plastic free.
On this occasion, Mahashakti Seva Kendra, Lions Club Akruti Eco City and Positive Thinking Institution associated with cleanliness campaign were honored. Commissioner Municipal Corporation Bhopal Vijay Dutta gave information about the campaign. Leader of the municipal corporation, Mr. Mohammad Sagir Ahmed, also addressed the event. He told that people coming here will be given a bag of clothes for 5 rupees, which can also be returned. Bags of old clothes will also be made in the kiosk. Local public representatives were present during this period.
