Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu urged the leaders to understand that the aspirations of the people were increasing and they would not give much time to political parties to solve their problems. He also said that the friends of Lutyens’ Delhi sometimes go wrong because solutions cannot be found without reaching the people. Addressing a gathering at the release of journalist-MP Virendra Kumar’s book Himalayan Odyssey, he said that earlier he used to give 50 years to a party.

Now things have changed. People give a maximum of five years or 10 years. Unless leaders and policy makers work hard and try to understand the aspirations of the people, they will not be able to resolve their issues. He said that I and everyone have to understand that the problems of people and their life situation for leaders, in-depth study for policy makers, is the reason that sometimes our friends of Lutyens Delhi go wrong because if you go from here start thinking imagine from here, without moving, then with people. There is always a change going on, we must find a solution.
