The political struggle between the BJP-led Modi government at the Center and the TMC-led Mamta Banerjee-led government in West Bengal is growing rather than ending. Now the Ministry of Defense has said that the tableau of West Bengal, which falls on Republic Day, has been canceled. In fact, the West Bengal government wanted to show the scheme for girls ‘Kanyashree’ in the Republic Day parade.This scheme has also been appreciated internationally. The ministry said, ‘The tableau’s proposal by the West Bengal government was examined by the expert committee in a two-round meeting. After detailed discussion in the second committee meeting, it was decided that the tableau will not be allowed.
Now the Ministry of Defense has said that the tableau of West Bengal, which falls on Republic Day, has been canceled.
In this regard, the officials of West Bengal said that we were not invited to discuss the tableau in the meeting of the expert committee of the Ministry of Defense. Be aware that from 2015 till now the West Bengal government has tried to show the ‘Kanyashree’ scheme twice but both times it was not approved. In 2018, the Bengal government had tried to get a tableau on the theme ‘Ekta-e-Samprati’ i.e. ‘Ekta Hi Bhaichara’, but even then a similar case was revealed.It is known that the tableau of the West Bengal government was chosen to participate in the parade of the Republic Day celebrations of 2019.West Bengal has won first prize due to the performance of Chhau dance theme in 2014 and Bowl artists in 2016. A total of 22 tableaux out of 56 have been selected for this year’s parade, with 16 from states and union territories and six from various ministries.
