In a surprise incident to burn a 19-year-old schoolgirl in Bangladesh, the police have filed a charge sheet against 16 people. These 16 people also include the head teacher of an Islamic school. Last month, in Nusrat where Rafi’s murder was performed against the country and the anger of the people, had broken. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina promised to punish those responsible for the incident. Nusrat called where he used to lure on the roof of the school where he used to study. The attackers had asked Nusrat to withdraw the police complaint of sexual abuse against the headmaster of the school. When Nusrat refused to do so, the attackers sprayed kerosene oil on him and handed him over to the fire. Five days later, he died in critical condition. Nusrat’s death highlighted the growing cases of sexual abuse in Bangladesh.
Chief Investigator of the Police Bureau of Investigation Mohammad Iqbal said that these people had filed a charge sheet under the Women and Child Protection Act and we will demand the death penalty for all the 16 accused. Iqbal noted that Siraj Ud Daula of Sonagaji Islamia Senior Fazil Madrasa ordered Rafi to be killed in jail. According to Nusrat’s complaint, on March 27 his headmaster called him in his cabin and started touching him wrongly. The thing escalates further before Nusrat escaped from there. Police said that five of the arrested accused had tied the knurs with the scarves of Nusrat and burned it by putting kerosene on it. The accused planned to tell Nusrat’s death of suicide. Of these, three accused studied with Nusrat only.
