Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Shri Kamleshwar Patel, while reviewing the MNREGA scheme, has said that under this scheme, the goal is to construct one thousand cows in rural areas of the state. Construction works of cowsheds are being completed rapidly. So far, Rs 9395 lakh has been spent on these construction works. Minister Shri Patel directed that priority should be given to the works of water conservation structures under MNREGA and these should be completed within time-limit.

He should provide special training to the Chief Executive Officers and Engineers of Rural Engineering Services to maintain the quality of revival works in 36 districts. He said that Kapil stream well and remote road construction should also be completed soon. At the meeting, Chief Executive Officer, MNREGA Smt. Shilpa Gupta informed that 7 lakh 20 thousand 84 constructions have been constructed in the state. An amount of 2461 crores has been paid as wages in the financial year 2019 under the scheme.
