Djokovic, Nadal and Federer to start new season with ATP Cup

Novak Djokovic, the world’s top tennis player, will start the 2020 season in Brisbane, while Spain’s Rafael Nadal Perth and Switzerland’s veteran Roger Federer will open in Sydney. This was decided after the drawn draw for the ATP Cup. The ATP Cup is the new world tennis team competition. The championship will be held from January 3 to 12. 24 countries will take part in this competition which is divided into six groups.

These matches will be held in Sydney, Brisbane and Perth. Each team can consist of five players. The teams will make a knockout after the round robin stage. Most of the players in the top 30 are likely to play in this tournament. Each match will feature two singles and one doubles match. Djokovic’s Serbia team will face France, South Africa, Germany, Greece, Canada and wild card holders Australia in Brisbane after the draw in Sydney. Nadal’s Spain team will play Japan, Georgia, Russia, Italy and the United States in Perth while Federer’s Switzerland team will face Belgium, Austria, Croatia, Argentina and Britain in Sydney.
