When Morne was associated with the club, there was a lot of opposition due to the coalpack deal. Then the club had said that they are inducting the players who have made deals to fill the shortage of players playing for the country. Amla retired this year after a poor performance in the World Cup. Amla’s record in ODI format is very good. He has 27 ODI centuries in his name. He is the only South African batsman to score a triple century in Test cricket.
