Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, while inaugurating the 51st Himachal Pradesh Police Sports and Duty Meet at Dharamshala’s Police Grounds today, emphasized to work to make the society free from drug addicts so as to save the future of the younger generation. Drunkenness not only destroys personal life but also disintegrates the whole family. He appreciated the efforts made by the police department in this direction and said that strict steps should be taken against the drug mafia so that a strong message can be reached to the drug mafia.
He said that police personnel are working hard to maintain law and order and such programs not only give them an opportunity to be entertained but also give them an opportunity to showcase their talent, so that they can be disciplined and collectively The sense of working is also conscious. He said that sports not only makes a person physically healthy but also instills a spirit of competition, practice, self confidence and cooperation in them. He said that these types of events help in keeping away from the daily mental stress and physical pressure.

In this three-day sports competition, three zones, in addition to the North, Central and South zones, 500 players from one central unit are participating. Women police are also participating in this competition for the first time.
Earlier, Additional Director General of Police Law and Order Shyam Bhagat Negi welcomed the Governor and gave details of events to be organized in this three-day police competition.
Santosh Patial, organizing secretary and Deputy Inspector General of Northern Range, proposed vote of thanks. During the program, a colorful program and a skit on drugs were also presented by the police personnel. Tibetan Finance Minister Karma Yashi, Sub Divisional Commissioner Kangra Sanjeev Bhatnagar, Deputy Commissioner Kangra Rakesh Kumar Prajapati, Inspector General of Police, Superintendent of Police Kangra Vimukt Ranjan and senior officials of the Police Department and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
