Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi, who is facing a criminal defamation case in connection with a controversial statement given on Modi surname during Lok Sabha elections, appeared in Surat court on Thursday. When the judge asked in court if you confessed your crime, Rahul Gandhi said – no. I do not confess the crime. The next hearing of this case will now be held on December 10 in the sessions court of Surat.
The court accepted the complaint made by BJP MLA Purnesh Modi under sections 499 and 500 of IPC.

Congress workers warmly welcomed Rahul Gandhi along the way. In the court, Rahul Gandhi sought exemption from personal appearance in the next hearing. Which was strongly opposed by the petitioner’s lawyer. However, now the court has accepted the plea of Rahul Gandhi’s personal appearance and now he has got rid of the court affair.
