Murtaza can go against South Africa


Bangladesh captain Musharraf Murtaza can play in the ICC World Cup in Sunday’s first match against South Africa. Earlier, during practice match with India, Murtaza had come in a hamstring strain though, despite this, he has indicated on Sunday that he will make it to the game. It is not clear whether he is fit or not.
Murtaza had said that he was injured due to more bowling against Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. The Bangladeshi captain said, “Sometimes I have difficulty bowling in the first two overs, but after recovering from it I am fine again. I did not have any problem on Tuesday too. But in the sixth overcame a hammering in the hamstring.
He said, “I used to bowl for four or five overs, but Rohit and Virat were making quick runs at that time. At that time, I felt that it would have been good if I practiced bowling in these situations and so I threw more runs. ‘ Murtaza stayed in the dressing room for a long time during India’s innings while vice-captain Shakib Al Hasan was captaincy in his absence. Murtaza did not come out of the dressing room even during the team’s defeat of 95 runs.
