IAS Doctor Pramod Kumar (PK) Mishra has been appointed as Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The central government has appointed PK Mishra as the Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He has assumed the position in place of Nripendra Mishra. PK Mishra was working as additional secretary to PM Modi till now. In addition PK Sinha has been appointed as the Principal Advisor to the Prime Minister.

Significantly, PK Mishra is a 1972 batch IAS of Gujarat cadre and has worked with PM Modi as Chief Minister. PK Mishra is known to complete the work within the prescribed limits as an administrative officer. In August this year Nripendra Mishra left the post of Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister. The statement issued by the government said that the Prime Minister had asked Nripendra Mishra to work for two more weeks. Nripendra Mishra was a 1967 batch IAS of Uttar Pradesh cadre. The PM had also organized a formal function to bid farewell to Nripendra Mishra where many prominent leaders had arrived.
