Public sector company BHEL announced a 100 percent dividend to its shareholders for the financial year 2018-19. Earlier, BHEL paid an interim dividend of 40 per cent for 2018-19. It was worth Rs 279 crore based on the value. In the recently held Annual General Meeting (AGM) announced an additional final dividend of 60 percent. BHEL said in a statement that in view of BHEL’s good record of paying dividends in the last four decades, a total dividend of 100 percent has been announced. The company’s chairman and managing director Nalin Singhal told shareholders that the company made a profit of Rs 2,058 crore before tax while earning a net profit of Rs 1,215 crore.
