A red alert has been issued in Aligarh due to the ongoing protests against the revised citizenship law for the past several days and the Friday prayers. A senior official said that the District Magistrate Chandra Bhushan Singh has declared a red alert in the district. As a precautionary measure, 10 Company PACs, four Company Rapid Action Forces and 83 Magistrates have been deployed in the district.
