Former President Pranab Mukherjee has said that he is not worried about the slowdown in the country’s economy. He said that some things are happening, which are showing an impact on the economy. Mukherjee, who was the finance minister in the UPA government, said that there is a need to infuse capital in public sector banks and there is nothing wrong in this. Addressing a program of the Indian Statistical Institute, Mukherjee said, “I am not worried about the reduction in GDP growth in the country.”

She said that I was the finance minister at that time and no bank had approached me for the money. There is a huge need for capital in banks and there is nothing wrong in that.
