Team India’s fast bowler Deepak Chahar has said that through the IPL, a place can be made in the Indian team in a short time. Chahar said that I understood at the beginning of my cricketing career that limited overs cricket would have to be given more attention and IPL is an easy way to make a place in the Indian team. Chahar had taken 8 wickets for 10 runs against Hyderabad on his Ranji Trophy debut but he soon realized that the path was too long. Chahar said, when I changed my action to gain speed in my bowling, it became difficult for me to get a place in my state team. I suddenly started feeling that it would be very difficult for me to make a place in the INDIA team. If I had faith in Ranji, then I would have to play a lot of matches. At the same time, if you do well in the IPL, then you can get a chance to play for the national team soon.

During that period of my career, I started focusing more on limited overs cricket. Deepak, a medium-speed bowler, has made it to the Indian team after playing two seasons with the IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings. Even after this, this bowler is engaged in removing his weaknesses. He said, when I entered the Ranji Trophy, I used to bowl at a speed of 125 km. In an effort to increase my speed, I was also injured. I knew that at this speed I could not continue in international cricket. I have to increase it to 140 and add swing to it. Chahar said, the ball which takes swing at a speed of 135 to 137 km is a very difficult ball for any batsman. If the wicket is flat, a 150 km ball can also be played easily. Chahar has played only two ODIs so far but he had already found his weak side in it. He said, ODI is the most difficult format. In T20, your focus is on stopping the run. If you do not take wickets in it but give 24 runs in four overs, then it is a good analysis. At the same time, the test is the opposite and it is important to take wickets to become a successful bowler.
