Virat along with Lokesh Rahul shared a 95-run partnership from 50 balls for the third wicket. With this innings, Virat has completed a thousand runs in T20 on Indian soil, as well as the record of hitting the most sixes in a T20 series and the most runs in T20.

Kohli needed only 6 runs to complete 1000 International T20 runs, which he made just to get into the field. New Zealand’s Martin Guptill and Colin Manro have done it before in T20s. Guptill has scored 1430 and Manro has scored 1000 runs.
