After the ban on e-cigarettes and e-hookahs, the government machinery has now started taking further action. The Union Health Ministry team is preparing to bring the notification. After the President’s approval, information will be sent to all the states in two weeks. In which day the law is to be implemented, it will also be mentioned. However, till then traders can store all the products related to e-cigarettes and e-hookah at the nearest police station. About a month can be found for this. Delhi Tobacco Control Officer, Dr. BS Charan, states that a certain time is fixed before any law comes into force. So that the preparation of implementing that law can be done. Till now, written information related to e-cigarettes has not come to the Delhi government.

After this, the manufacture, sale, transport, promotion etc. of e cigarette will be banned. There has been a debate among health experts on social media since Union Cabinet Minister Nirmala Sitharaman informed about the cabinet decision. It also includes experts from AIIMS to ICMR. A senior AIIMS doctor believes that e-cigarettes should not be banned but should be regulated. Whereas a doctor of Ihabas Hospital said that the public should support this decision of the government.
